I never thought the radiant Colleen Smart, my youthful partner in crime, could cover her head with lace front wigs. Her iconic hair and fashion flowed in sync with her indomitable look. Guess what? Our favorite gal will always be celebrated because of her impeccable looks. Not many in town know she dons lace wigs. They look that good.

Back in the day as youths finding our way in the hill country, we once stole the spotlights to every dance. But in college her alopecia reared its head and her hair thinned spottily. I thought “oh, well.”
