At some point in a poker tournament, you will probably have a medium sized stack. A check-raise in online poker occurs when a player, who when the action arrives to him checks for no bet, and yet when another player bets, responds by raising instead of just calling or folding. In many aspects of our lives we have friends with us to help us out and poker should be no exception. I know for me personally, every now and then I’ll be playing in a game and make a ridiculous move, perhaps a large bluff, and when I get called I always think, wow that was just really dumb. If you and your friend are both watching for your weaknesses you might not make them as often, and they may be able to offer you advice after a hand about how you could have played it better. They may be able to spot more mistakes and help you improve your poker game!
