Today American Country refers to American heritage with mix and match furniture, simple fabrics, a focus on comfort and family many times you’ll see a lot of faded red, white and blue. American country from that period embodied and focused on rural living common elements included and other barnyard animals. The faded red, white and blue have changed into country blue, rose, and a cream.

A popular style today is the Mediterranean style it comes from countries north of the Mediterranean Sea like Greece, Spain and Italy. You may also hear this style referred to Spanish contemporary the styles are identical. The walls in this style are typically textures and a decorative finish is put on to take advantage of the deep rich colors. Heavy and elaborate furniture is often used, and usually fairly short. There arent a lot of sharp edgesand everything is a bit rounded or bull-nosed. Mosaic tiles are quite popular and deep colors popular choices, often natural earth colors are seen but turned up a notch in complexity.
