Five Shoreline Hotel Destinations
Holidaying in the UK is enjoying somewhat of a comeback partially thanks to the cost of flying to usual holiday destinations rising over the past year or two. Luckily the UK being an island has a vast amount of coastline, this means there are plenty of shoreline hotels at many popular family holiday resorts dotted around the country.
Below are just five of them but you’ll be spoiled for choice wherever you go in the UK.
Blackpool
Blackpool used to be and still is one of the number one tourist destinations in the UK, many families in the past decades have flocked to the beach and other attractions such as the Blackpool tower with it’s ballroom at the top and the pier. In later years the Pleasure Beach theme park has continued to grow and has a wealth of rollercoaster’s all in walking distance of each other. The Number One hotel in Blackpool is worlds a way from the old guesthouses that people may not be fussed about, with three boutique hotels styled rooms available it can offer luxurious hotel rooms to enjoy during your stay.
Bognor Regis
Bognor Regis is another seaside town that has capitalised on it’s location to provide a huge amount of activities and accommodation for families, a lot of this can be put down to the Butlins resort situated at Bognor Regis. The Shoreline hotel lives up to its name and provide great sea views as well as many family friendly features such as children’s playrooms and bunk beds.
Brighton
Brighton is another popular resort for UK tourists, especially those living in the southern half of England or Wales. Brighton has enjoyed much popularity with various crowds especially in the summer months, making it ideal for your next family holiday. Again the hotels here have modernised and become very stylish to keep up with the UK tourist demand. Various boutique hotels such as Blanch House and the Pelirocco quite often surprise the misinformed who believe UK beach holiday resorts to be all B&Bs.
Cornwall
Cornwall is a popular UK resort mainly for the water sports such as surfing and windsurfing, holidays in Cornwall are ideal for families looking for a beach holiday without breaking the bank. In keeping with the nautical theme there are hotels like the Tresanton which is made from a converted yacht club.
Weston-Super-Mare
Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset is another family favourite with a wonderful seafront pier and plenty of seafront accommodation including the Queenswood hotel, with plenty of sights and activities in Weston-Super-Mare as well as the surrounding area of Somerset.
