Finding the right Biscuit Interactive
Another lesson in how modern technology can deny you at every turn today when I tried to contact a web design agency we work with, Biscuit Interactive, to chat about a project we’re working on unrelated to this site. I was on the long train journey from Newcastle to London and, having just paid for a brand spanking Sony laptop and bluetooth headset, along with a ticket which included free wi-fi access, I thought I’d try and contact them over skype over the on train wi-fi.
Well everything went swimmingly, I found Biscuit Interactive’s contact details on the web and clicked the number, conveniently highlighted with a skype icon so I could place the call direct from the web page.
Alas I hadn’t been paying as much attention as I could have been, and somehow ended up calling an interactive design agency of a similar name in Australia. After a rather ambiguous message I was put on hold for several minutes (my skypeout credit ticking down all the while) before someone picked up and we established the number I had was wrong by the breadth of a couple of continents.
Maybe I’ll stick to the mobile and it’s trust phone book next time. Or maybe even wait for a land line. I’m not sure I’m cut out for modern technology.
